Responsibilities

Reporting to the SVP, Head of Data Management, the Director, Consumer Bank Data Lead will be an influential leader in the CIT’s Data Management Organization, who is accountable for the overall management of the Consumer Bank data domains(Deposits, mortgages and customers) and architecture.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and lead a team of 4-6 data experts
  • Partner with key business and technology stakeholders to execute critical programs and deliverables
  • Lead working groups with representation from Operations, IT, and Data Governance to support activities within Data Management
  • Set a strategy and lay the plans to improve the overall management and governance of the Consumer Bank data domains
  • Experience managing and maintaining data platforms and tools including Databases, SSIS, SSRS, SQL, etc.

  •  

    Experience in IT service management including Change, Incident and Problem management

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, MIS, or Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5+ years of managing teams of up to 10 employees
  • 8+ years of data quality, data analysis, data governance, or related experience in the financial services industry
  • Data technologies such as SSIS, SQL, SSRS

  •  

    IT Service Management disciplines

  • Experienced engagement management
  • Solid facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure
  • Proven ability to lead working groups and effectively present concepts to a cross-functional audience, including upper management
  • Substantial program management experience
  • Knowledge of banking products, specifically Deposit and Mortgage data and related data is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Quality, and Issue Management tools/platforms such as Collibra
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to lead from the front and be accountable to executives
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
