CIT Capital Equipment Finance provides equipment loans and leases for transactions ranging in size from $3 million to $100 million with Single B to B+ or better credit profiles. We offer flexible terms of up to 10 years (depending on collateral type), with advance rates tailored to the equipment and credit strength of the borrower.

 

Reporting to the National Sales Director, the Director, Business Development Officer– Indirect Sales is responsible for marketing capital market solutions with companies that seek to monetize their lease and loan transactions.  The Director, Business Development Officer – Indirect Sales is also responsible for originating debt and debt/equity solutions to independent leasing companies, captive finance organizations and bank-owned leasing companies on individual transactions or small to mid-ticket portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Originate Equipment finance and leasing transactions directly with companies with revenues from $30MM to multi $billion.
  • Focus on transactions of $3MM to $100MM both for CIT's own account and in connection with syndication to other industry players.
  • Cross sell other CIT products.
  • Ability to interface with C Suite level executives.
  • Comfortable with all types of equipment types and industries including construction, manufacturing, automotive, energy, trucking, chemicals and plastics, retail etc.
  • Understanding of all market deal structures.
  • Act as deal advocate using strong credit skills in working with the underwriting team to facilitate transactions through closing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics preferred
  • 7 years in an Equipment finance deal origination role with strong understanding of credit, collateral, and structuring.
  • Strong track record closing transactions and developing a territory.
  • Strong reputation in industry and strong base of clients and contacts.
  • Previous credit background and bank experience a plus.
  • Experienced with all types of equipment types and industries including construction, manufacturing, automotive, marine, energy, trucking, chemicals and plastics, retail etc.
  • Understanding SuperTrump, Salesforce, and other systems is preferred.
