Responsibilities

The VP, Underwriting Real Estate Finance will underwrite Commercial Real Estate Loans for CIT and report to the Director, Commercial Real Estate Finance.

 

CIT Real Estate Finance is currently seeking a VP of Underwriting who will:

  • Underwrite commercial real estate loans including transitional and construction for multi-family, office, retail, industrial, and hotel properties.
  • Complete credit approval memos and submission for approval.
  • Present findings for Credit Approval.
  • Manage transaction process including review of property due diligence and negotiation of legal documentation.
  • Assist in portfolio management of loans post origination.
  • Monitor performance on an existing portfolio of loans
  • Work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to think critically

Qualifications

  • 7 to 10+ years of commercial real estate underwriting and/or credit analysis background required
  • 4 year degree preferred
  • Bridge or Construction Loan experience preferred
