The E-Learning Solutions Lead is a hands-on, individual contributor on our Consumer Bank Training Team based in the Pasadena area (may be open to Irvine, as long as candidate can be in Pasadena and West Covina 2 – 3 days per week).  Some light, regional travel to SoCal branches and out-of-state branches and has the following responsibilities:


  • Convert existing classroom training to online learning to create more blended learning experiences
  • Partner with people/learning leadership on developing program objectives, strategy, resourcing, and workplans
  • Consult/advise with leaders and managers on talent development needs and solutions
  • Translate instructional concepts into innovative, interactive learning solutions
  • Perform needs analysis to determine appropriate course content and course delivery method (e-learning, instructor-led, virtual instructor-led) 
  • Design strategies for measuring and assessing results of learning initiatives and implementing enhancements as needed
  • Create, organize, plan, and present various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees
  • Create and/or source training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials
  • Instruct training and development programs as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
  • Perform other related duties as required


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Instructional Design, or a related field required
  • At least three years of experience with e-learning content development and other learning technologies (virtual classroom, LMS)
  • Experience developing creative and impactful online learning courses and content
  • Consulting skills – needs to know how to talk to clients
  • Passionate about instructional design
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software


Desired Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with Articulate products (Storyline, Rise)
  • Certified in one or more development skills (DiSC, MBTI, coaching, Hogan, other)
  • Experience in a Retail Banking branch or call center
  • Experience with Instructional Design and the tools of the trade
