The Deposit Product Development and Management will be responsible for end to end product management of consumer deposit products for CIT’s Direct Bank and OneWest Bank businesses

  • Role responsibilities include but not limited to:
    • Recommends the strategy for present and future deposits products and programs by reviewing customers' needs, competitive landscape, and consumer and industry sentiments regarding the state of deposits in California and across the United States
    • Build recommendations and business cases to support strategy
    • Develop action plans for execution across branch and/or direct bank channels
    • Determines customers' needs through research, performance and associate feedback in collaboration with Corporate and/or Local Marketing
    • Effectively analyze and report performance trends and develop an action plan to address opportunities for strategic or tactical changes
    • Design and execute upon product testing calendar and projects with prospective and future customers to inform product feasibility, features and design
    • Manage issue resolution - including the identification of issues, developing a resolution plan, and executing the changes needed
    • Work with Legal, Risk, Compliance, Marketing, IT, Call Centers, and other Channel partners to deliver strategic and tactical plans
    • Assesses product and pricing market data and collaborate with team members on product pricing and placement
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies


  • Required Skills and Experience:
    • Seeking candidates with current experience of at least 5 years in Banking Product Development or Banking Product Management, and ideally deposits or savings product experience
    • Candidates should have retail banking experience with a mix of products sold through branch and online channels
    • Candidates should have proven ability to think strategically, innovatively, and develop tactical execution plans to drive success
    • Extensive experience with marketing, product positioning, product and program innovation, channel and client engagement
    • Understands the business acumen and financials associated with a deposits business
    • Proven ability to analyze performance, research, financials and competitive data to drive strategic and tactical recommendations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong executive presence; able to develop creative presentations/communications that achieve maximum impact
    • Strong influence skills and can effectively build a business case and develop a successful recommendation for buy-in
