    Responsibilities

    • Support CIT’s Treasury Trading Desk, Consumer Capital Markets Trading Desk, and Commercial Capital Markets Trading Desk on a daily basis.
    • Perform daily reconciliations of cash and positions
    • Proactively handle and resolve any break resolution
    • Promptly answer trader, vendor and, client inquiries over the phone or email
    • Confirm all daily trading activity (including fixed income, options, FX and OTC derivatives) and non-trading activity is correctly processed and settled
    • Work closely with traders, custodians, and accounting teams
    • Manage collateral movements for derivatives position
    • Assist Middle office with new product initiatives and system enhancements. Create test scripts, document results, recommend and implement solutions.
    • Assist with month end book close. Perform wire input/approval, and confirm proper authorizations.
    • Liaise with internal and external auditors relating to SOX and Internal Audits.
    • Ensure policy and procedures are followed properly and are updated as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business or finance
    • 1-3 year middle or back office experience, preferably in banking, hedge fund, or fund administration is a plus Ability to communicate professionally and effectively;
    • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently;
    • Highly self-motivated with emphasis on organizational skills and ability to multi-task
    • The candidate must be personable and able to interact well with portfolio managers, traders, clients and service providers
    • General knowledge of and familiarity with financial instruments (i.e. equities, options, fixed income, futures, foreign exchange) within U.S. securities markets
    • Knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin, Chatham, Clearwater, Misys, Markit, Loan IQ, SharePoint, and/or Quantum a plus
    • Proficient Microsoft Project and Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint skills
