    Responsibilities

    Overview:

     

    This position will be a part of CIT’s Data Governance Office and will support the Data Quality function by defining and scripting data quality rules, continuously monitoring the quality of data across various sources, developing KPIs and reports, and tracking/re-mediating issues throughout their life cycle.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    •Analyze and profile various interrelated databases using SQL to obtain complete comprehension of the data
    •Partner with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and subsequently define business rules
    •Script data quality rules and collaborate with both business and technology teams to create, validate, and implement them
    •Drive improvement in the quality of data through continuous monitoring and root cause analysis of identified issues
    •Lead working groups with representation from Operations, IT, and Data Governance to support activities within the Data Quality function
    •Triage issues and coordinate remediation efforts across work streams within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    •Utilize a centralized issue tracking tool to capture and manage issues from end-to-end
    •Develop and publish data quality and issue management metrics/dashboards that have been tailored to the target audience

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Business, MIS, or Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
    • 5+ years of data quality, data analysis, data governance, or related experience in the financial services industry
    • Expertise in data profiling and data quality rule design
    • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, MS SQL Server, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Solid facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure
    • Proven ability to lead working groups and effectively present concepts to a cross-functional audience, including upper management
    • Experience creating reporting metrics and KPIs, with a background in data visualization being a plus
    • Knowledge of banking products and related data is strongly preferred
    • Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Quality, and Issue Management tools/platforms such as Collibra and Micro Focus Application Lifecycle Management is a plus
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
    • Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
    • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
