    Responsibilities

    We are seeking an Senior Treasury Services Middle Office Specialist. This position’s primary responsibility is to support CIT’s trading desks on a broad scope of functions which include reporting, compliance and trade support. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

    • Manage the daily/weekly/monthly reporting and monitoring responsibilities that are required of the Middle Office, including portfolio reporting, risk and P&L reporting, trader limit monitoring, and counterparty exposure reporting Conduct reconciliations and provide analytical support
    • Administer the daily collateral process, including market-to-market comparisons and calculations of margin exchanges with CIT’s trading partners
    • Evaluate processes, recommend ideas for automation and process improvement opportunities and implement as appropriate
    • Develop and maintain compliance rules and controls for the bank’s trading desks, exposures, and counterparties
    • Review and execute OTC trade confirmations and wire memos for trade closings and other transactions
    • Onboard new trading counterparties and accounts: ISDA, clearing, CSA, MRA, CUA, MSFTA, SIFMA, QIB, and other required trading documents
    • Ensure KYC and Sanction Screening for New counterparties and administer their instructions and set-up in Trade Capture System
    • Build strong business relationships and maintain a high degree of knowledge of Treasury products, services, systems, and governance requirements
    • Ensure policy and procedures are followed properly and are updated as needed

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in accounting or finance
    • 5+ years of experience in a middle office or trading operations role, preferably in banking, hedge fund, or asset manager role
    • General knowledge of and familiarity with financial instruments (i.e. fixed income, foreign exchange, repo, debt, interest rate and derivative products, equity etc.)
    • Ability to multitask and work under pressure, prioritizing duties according to risk
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills in order to identify, understand, and address operational and technical issues
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • A self-motivated individual who is able to use sound judgement and deliver results with minimal supervision, while also working effectively as part of a team
    • The candidate must be personable and able to interact well with portfolio managers, traders, counterparties, service providers, and other internal parties
    • Knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin, Chatham, Clearwater, Misys, MarkitWire, LoanIQ, Bloomberg, and SharePoint
    • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint skills
