    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with relationship managers to prepare and structure proposals for new business opportunities
    • Lead the internal credit approval process with the review, preparation and presentation of credit approval materials
    • As a lead member of the deal underwriting team, oversee the loan closing and deal execution process
    • Spearhead the due diligence process to review loan documentation and consultant’s reports and participate in related discussions with the borrower/client
    • Coordinate closing process involvement of treasury management and capital markets products such as derivatives
    • Review pro-forma cash flow models prepared by junior staff
    • Mentor the growth and development of junior staff
    • Work with capital markets to facilitate distribution of broadly syndicated project finance transactions

    Qualifications

     

    • 5+ years credit underwriting and portfolio experience in Project Finance
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, or related field highly preferred
    • Highly proficient in MS Excel (including financial modeling), Word, and PowerPoint
    • Confident and effective communicator (both verbal and written)
    • Ability to lead and train junior staff
    • Ability to meet deadlines, strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
    • Completion of a formal credit training program a plus
