    Responsibilities

    Business Development Officer’s primary responsibility is to be identifying, sourcing, and establishing new business relationships. These relationships should be business operating accounts and savings accounts and, along with a partnership from the branch, include the client’s personal banking relationship.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    • Build relationships with local and national referral sources. Referral sources will include bankers, relators, franchises, CPA’s, attorneys etc.
    • Work with referral sources and customers to solicit Small Business loan request
    • Develop strong relationships within the Small Business market
    • Coach bankers and managers on building relationships and having the right conversations with existing customers, while increasing the referrals to the BDO
    • Effectively onboard business prospects and grow existing business customer’s lending, and depository
    • Maintain a strong understanding of CITs credit policy and evaluate risk

    Qualifications

    Experience working in a team environment where the candidate had to coach and mentor others. The ideal candidate should have the ability to analyze the financial health of a company through financials. Be a self-starter that is disciplined enough to manage daily calling activity to achieve required results.

     

    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Business Banking, B2B sales, or Relationship Management at a Financial Institution
    • Ability to source leads and convert prospects to clients
    • Demonstrated presentation sales, negotiation and influencing skills
    • Demonstrated success working collaboratively to achieve team goals
    • A general knowledge of business lending, deal structuring and analyzing financials
