    Participates in accounting activities within the finance department by performing the following duties:
    Involved in GAO (General Accounting Operations) month end close process as it relates to legal entity closures and IFT’s (Internal Funding Transaction), including compiling documents, preparing journal entries, reconciling journal entries to supporting documents, uploading and monitoring documents in SharePoint, and validating balances in general ledgers.

    -Compile and upload IFT documents: use PowerPoint to draw step charts, run PeopleSoft query and prepare pro forma financial statements, fill out approval forms and other documents, follow up with other team to collect and upload other documents.
    -Prepare Journal entries for IFT’s and legal entity dissolutions.
    -Create and run People soft query and Hyperion report, and validate balances when entries are posted.
    -Follow-up on outstanding items with personnel internal and external to the department.
    -Escalate issues to management when not being resolved in a timely manner.
    -Assist in the development of desktop policies as they relate to job tasks.
    -Possess a basic knowledge of accounting concepts.
    -Other job related duties may be assigned.


    -Accounting Degree preferred.
    -Must be detail oriented as well as have effective organizational and communication skills.
    -Problem solving and analytical skills a must.
    -Familiar with Microsoft desktop applications
    -PeopleSoft or similar system knowledge preferred.
