    • This position requires a thorough understanding of sales and use tax.
    • The individual we seek will be responsible for developing and mentoring a team of tax professionals, overseeing the filing of CIT’s business license applications and renewals
    • Responsible for all sales and use tax audits and related communications
    • Reviewing tax returns, extensions and estimated tax payment
    • Overseeing the compliance and planning function
    • Ensuring proper record keeping and retention of all tax returns and related matters
    • Assisting with internal control procedures; change management; developing and implementing process improvements
    • Responsible for the sales taxability matrix working with operations and accounting to establish effective controls to prevent overpayments
    • Tax analysis to properly provide for the Company’s sale/use tax reserves
    • Recommending changes to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.





    • Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting related field with a CMI preferred
    • Strong Microsoft Office and Access skills/database skills
    • Working knowledge of Vertex O
    • A minimum of 5 - 8 years’ work experience in the sales and use tax area
    • Candidate should exhibit strong problem solving skills and initiative to resolve issues
