    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the group Vice President of Underwriting, individual will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of CIT’s aircraft secured loan portfolio as well as assisting with the preparation of presentations and reports for regulatory and internal informational purposes.

    Position Responsibility:

    • Manage assigned portfolio accounts – monitor performance and covenant compliance, prepare trend cards and periodic/annual reviews, process amendments and waiver requests in a timely manner to meet customer expectations, provide performance updates to managers, identify and act on warning signals and participate in portfolio reviews.
    • Maintain familiarity with CIT policies, procedures, and credit standards.
    • Interface with other parts of the business, such as Legal, Operations, Insurance, Corporate Risk Management, Compliance, Problem Loan Management, Loan & Risk Review, and Internal Audit.
    • Develop industry knowledge in the aviation sector, including airlines, lessors, suppliers, as well as commercial aircraft.
    • Interface with and independently manage information requests received from auditors and loan examiners (internal as well as external, including regulators), prepare reports for regulatory and internal informational purposes, and work on any special projects as per business needs.
    • Perform periodic compliance diligence and support KYC process for existing accounts.
    • Assist with internal and external management reports and other special projects, as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance or accounting preferred.
    • 3-5+ years of experience in the financial services or commercial lending industry.
    • Airline / aircraft industry knowledge or industry experience preferred.
    • Must have a solid understanding of financial statements and capital structures, strong analytical skills with an ability to question assumptions.
    • Highly motivated with organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, confident, organized, and articulate manner. Strong attention to detail.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.
