    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties:
    • Verify approval on purchase orders and invoices
    • Match corresponding purchase orders to invoices
    • Process invoices and credits within vendor terms to ensure timely payment of invoices
    • Monitor vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts
    • Follow standard processes to eliminate possibility of duplicate payments and overpayment of invoices
    • Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor with handling the monthly closing of accounts payable records
    • Work with team members and management to assist with finding process efficiencies
    • Assist with audit support as necessary
    • Perform other general accounting projects and tasks as assigned

    Qualifications

    Knowledge/Experience:
    • Minimum 3 years Accounts Payable experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or an Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
    Skills and Abilities:
    • Open to change and willing to learn new skills
    • Positive, upbeat, friendly attitude and mindset
    • Commitment to providing extraordinary customer service
    • Possess excellent organizational skills, aptitude to focus on tasks until complete, and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
    • PeopleSoft experience required
