    Responsibilities

    Under general direction, the Assistant Vice President performs consumer jumbo mortgage reviews and ensures loans adhere to general loan policy and to regulatory guidelines: prepares reports and work papers recapping discussions with Business Unit Management, Credit Administration, and other units or functional areas under review to present finds and secure commitments for resolution of areas in question.

    • Review Consumer Jumbo Mortgage files to identify if CIT policies and standards have been followed and if exceptions were reasonable and adequately supported and approved where necessary.
    • Identify process deficiencies in the Jumbo Mortgage origination process and provide clear and concise description of such weaknesses and the various downstream implications of any process weakness.
    • Bring recommendations related to the above to the manager and work with the manager to present such recommendations in the Credit Review Report.
    • Work with manager to identify enhancements to Credit processes and contribute to other projects assigned by the manager.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in business, finance, or related area - or past experience in consumer credit review.
    • 4+ years of demonstrated performance in consumer underwriting - experience in Jumbo mortgages is strongly preferred.
    • Strong analytic skills and the ability to develop conclusions based on such analysis.
    • Good communications skills with the line lenders and management as well as credit management
    • Ability to function efficiently in a team environment
