    Responsibilities

    The VP - Internal Control Program Governance & Practice Development will be responsible for the following activities:

     

    • Further advance and lead the enterprise-wide implementation of a newly created internal controls framework and governance structure with the respective 1st and 2nd line of defense process owners across the Company
    • Management of Internal Control frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures including but not limited to risk assessment, control testing, and issue management for SOX, FDICIA, and Capital Planning
    • Drive standardization and consistency across the Internal Controls Program through the establishment of a targeted QC program
    • Develop and manage the enterprise-wide Internal Control Training Program curriculum
    • Drive the establishment of a control attestation and change management framework
    • Drive the implementation of an internal controls technology solution
    • Develop a suite a internal controls based reporting for all levels of the organization
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed

    Qualifications

    The candidate must possess the following:

     

    • At least 12 years of relevant internal control and governance experience working in the controls domain, e.g. Internal Control, Operational Risk, SOX, Compliance, Audit etc.
    • Prior experience with Internal Control policy, standards, and procedures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrable success as a change agent that possesses both superior relationship management and influencing skills across all levels of an organization
    • Prior people leadership experience
    • Prior experience in the financial services industry preferred
    • Solid understanding of Finance, Risk and Regulatory requirements within banking and financial services
