The candidate will be responsible for overall engineering and support of production and non-production environments for all Citrix and File&Print environment. This is a senior-level position on CIT’s Citrix and File&Print Engineering Team.
Interaction with all layers of Infrastructure and Application Development teams is necessity. Work will include project and operational tasks, with emphasis on coordination across teams.
Excellent understanding of Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop / Provisioning Services / Director / StoreFront Services and NetScaler Architecture
Migration experience moving from Citrix XenApp 6.5 to XenApp/XenDesktop 7.x VDA & Receiver Deployments
Experience with XenDesktop RemotePC implementations
The ability to create and maintain documentation as it relates to architecture, design, and support procedures.
Experience Migrating and Troubleshooting Applications moving from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012 R2.
The ability to Monitor, Maintain and troubleshoot Network environments running XenApp.
Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop app troubleshooting skills.
Excellent understanding of:
Group Policy and Citrix Policy Management
SQL (as it relates to Citrix)
Monitoring Citrix Environment Health (XenApp & XenDesktop)
Maintaining Dashboard for Citrix Environments (Footprint of Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Migration Tracker, Application cutover)
Excellent understanding of File Share / Print Server Architectures and File Share migration best practices.
The ability to create and maintain Architecture / Design and Support Procedure Documentation.
Experience leveraging Robocopy, Dell Secure Copy and Beyond Compare tools.
Experience with EMC Isilon storage.
The ability to define and manage File Share migration and Data Synchronization schedules and trackers.
Experience managing user Logon Scripts mapping to Shared Drives and Printers.
Experience migrating user Print Queues in a Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2 environment.
Experience Migrating, Validating and Troubleshooting Files Shares moving data and
Monitoring File Share and Print Queue environment health and usage.
Ability to execute Pro-Active Health checkups (Daily/Weekly/Monthly)
Excellent Communication Skills to interface with Application Support, the Business and other areas of the IT organization.
Excellent Time Management, Organizational and Troubleshooting Skills.
An understanding of Change Management procedures.
