The Assistant Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility helps strategize, implement, and continually improve and grow the company’s CSR efforts across CIT. The position is responsible for helping to define and hone the company’s community programs, employee volunteerism and matching programs, and CSR efforts to align with business goals, and enhance reputation. This position will report to the VP of Corporate Social Responsibility.




  • Work closely with the VP of Corporate Social Responsibility to help create, grow, and enhance the company’s CSR efforts and programs
  • Help hone our overarching CSR strategy
  • Work with key business partners to effectively execute, measure, and report results
  • Define and help ensure appropriate company-wide policies and standards are met
  • Monitor current and emerging sustainability issues and social responsibility trends, and help guide CIT’s support of and response to issues important to our industry and our stakeholders
  • Create executive level presentations regarding our CSR and ESG efforts and results
  • Serve as project manager for key CSR programs that have enterprise-wide reach 
  • Act as an ambassador for the company on CSR




  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred 
  • Visionary thought and action leader with prior experience in developing and/or helping to implement a CSR program within a large organization
  • Understanding of issues relating to CSR, especially in the areas of empowerment, environment, and wellness
  • Understanding of the financial services industry and our lines of business
  • Ability to anticipate trends and issues in business and society that affect the company’s CSR agenda and reputation
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Exceptionally organized and able to project manage and collaborate across stakeholder groups
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and complex research and concisely present findings 
  • Strong ability to create presentations and tell the story of CSR-related efforts to appeal to a variety of stakeholders
