  • Assist the Head of Financial Crimes in establishing and maintaining efficient, scalable, and risk-based analytical and investigative techniques for the detection and reporting of suspicious activity.
  • Manage a team responsible for directly carrying out the day to day operations of the FIU.
  • Review cases prepared by investigators to ensure decision-making is appropriate and documented.
  • Guide front-line businesses in understanding and complying with escalation requirements
  • Render decisions for questions ensuring the bank is in compliance with all suspicious activity reporting requirements. 
  • Manage workflow and staffing of the team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Provide administrative support for the Financial Crimes program as needed (e.g. through report review and review of minutes)
  • Review new products and technology projects for impact to the FIU
  • Contribute to the risk assessment process
  • Participate in Internal Audits and Regulatory Examinations



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years compliance experience in financial investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, InfoPath, PowerPoint) helpful.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and work closely with business stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Strong understanding of commercial banking and retail banking products and services.
  • Possess strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills.
