The CAO and Head of Strategy for our Business Capital division are looking to add a VP to his team. The position will focus on developing and driving new growth initiatives in collaboration with the leadership of each of Business Capital’s segments. The individual will also be a contributor in planning, and executing on the strategic vision of the Business Capital leadership team. Candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with senior members of Business Capital and the corporate executive management committee.


Ongoing responsibilities and tasks will include:


  • Work with the business unit leadership team to develop and execute a strategic plan
  • Working directly with CAO and President on analyzing merits and drivers of key strategic initiatives
  • Work across supporting functions including credit, OPS/IT, legal and HR to ensure we are offering the most competitive set of products in the industry 
  • Support CAO in analyzing profitability trends across the various units 
  • Development and management of monthly key KPI indicators 
  • Analyzing expenses and running scenarios 
  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
  • Prepare and/or review various financial reports for monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Develop and update monthly and quarterly executive management and BOD presentations
  • Assisting senior management on a wide variety of critical firm activities
  • Working closely with all functions supporting the businesses to ensure all deliverables are being met accurately and timely 
  • Prepare financial models and analytical support for strategic planning and acquisition opportunities
  • Coordinating diligence requests related to acquisitions or divestitures 
  • Perform competitor and industry wide research on products and adjacent market opportunities 
  • Contributing to the development and communication of proposals and advice to our business unit clients
  • Develop and maintain relationships in the market with counterparts at other banks and independents 
  • Participate in discussions with Investment Bankers on opportunities in the market
  • Ensuring quality of client deliverables by having strong attention to detail


  • BA/BS degree in finance or accounting
  • Minimum of 6 years of related work experience in Strategy, Operations or M&A function within an Equipment Finance company, bank, strategic consultants, private equity, or similar institution
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint with ability to create executive level management presentations
  • Prior experience in the valuation of loan and leasing products are a plus 
  • Ability to understand, develop and analyze cash flows is critical 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Driven individual who can work independently and consistently deliver accurate information on-time
  • Advanced skills in written and oral communications
