Responsibilities

This position is part of the SOX/FDICIA Compliance team within the Controllership Function of CIT, a Fortune 500 company.

 

The position will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Managing and running multiple projects at once
  • Assit in overall engagement planning, testing and reporting
  • Perform walkthroughs to validate controls
  • Develop test procedures, perform control testing and document test results
  • Updating relevant policies, procedures and processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements / efficiencies and partner with management in the implementation of solutions
  • Reporting results to management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7-10 years of Experience
  • Understanding of GAAP and internal controls 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with all levels of management
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks i.e., excellent project managment skills
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Recommended Skills and Experience
  • CPA or CIA or other professional certification
  • Banking or Financial Services Experience
