Responsibilities

System/Business Analyst to deliver technology support tasks assigned for Corporate Functions Technology - Treasury. The individual will be responsible for gathering business requirements, creating functional specification requirements, creating and executing test plans, supporting end users by delivering end user training, as well as providing continued customer support and business process improvement.

  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions with the business to define project scope
  • Research and analyze all aspects of existing business practices and procedures to determine operational objectives 
  • Study system capabilities, analyze requirements and work closely with development team in designing new application modules/processes 
  • Write functional specification documentation including business rules, user cases, work flows and interface specifications
  • Work with business partners and development team to identify problems, new business workflows and design modifications to improve business and system efficiency
  • Produce System Integration Testing (SIT) test plans and test cases. Conduct SIT testing to ensure test cases trace back to requirements 
  • Assist business with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and track any defect raised during the stage
  • Work with development team in providing ongoing production support, DR testing of the application
  • Work across teams to provide integration to other systems and departments where necessary
  • Understand data structures and XML. SQL knowledge mandatory for data mining and data analysis

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with ability to analyze business requirements to determine process flows, user requirements and inter-dependencies of multiple information systems
  • Strong problem solving skills with the ability to analyze and break down a problem to identify root cause
  • Experience with SDLC Required; Experience with Agile methodology a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills including the ability to conduct meetings and application demos with business partners
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Professional – Word, PowerPoint, Visio. Expert in Excel for data analysis
  • Proficient with SQL Server management studio. Ability to write SQL queries for data analysis and data testing
  • Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services, SSIS a plus
  • 7+ years of business analyst experience required. Preferred working knowledge of capital markets and any of the following technologies: Blackrock Aladdin, Statestreet - ePam, Chatham Financials, Clearwater
