Successful candidates possess the following attributes:


  • Degree candidate for bachelors in business administration, finance, accounting or economics;
  • Outstanding academic achievement – preferred GPA 3.3;
  • Expected graduation in December 2018 or May 2019
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and strong quantitative orientation required;
  • High level of energy and superior work ethic;
  • Strong teamwork, and relationship building skills;
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to produce financial models, industry reports, and comparable company analyses;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to express ideas in a persuasive, confident, organized and articulate manner;
  • Highly motivated with organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks with changing priorities;
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities on the college campus (Club President, Sports Team Captains, etc).


CIT Group is hiring for Internship positions within its accounting and finance department at its Jacksonville, FL Office, for the summer of 2018. The Internship will offer an exciting opportunity to work in one of several disciplines within the Finance Organization including:


  • Accounting and Controls – account reconciliations / intercompany, SEC / Accounting Guidance, regulatory and legal entity reporting
  • Investor Relations – exposure and understanding of Wall Street markets and involvement in quarterly earnings preparation process
  • Financial Planning & Analysis – analyzing financial statements, understanding forecasting and business planning and expense management
  • Corporate Tax – compliance, reporting, audit and research in international, federal and state tax
  • Corporate Treasury – cash management, interest rate and foreign currency risk management, liquidity risk management, funding strategy and execution, derivative hedging strategy and execution, and investment management
