CIT is seeking a Converged Platform sytems automation Engineer to support and develop converged platform network enginnering and application services.
The engineer is expected to be able to independently design, develop, deploy and maintain security management technologies in all phases of an agile service development and deployment life cycle.
She or he will be required to design components or sub-components, and then follow through with the integration, and testing of all components.
Self-motivation, teamwork and experience working in a fast paced agile environment are highly desired.
Skills and experience in VMware Software Suite along with automating operational tasks using JSON templates, Powershell DSC, bash and Python
Deep understanding of firewalls ( VMware NSX and Palo Alto), NAT and packet filtering (specifically lptables)
Experience designing configuration management systems using tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Salt & Jenkins
General Networking skills required (Layer 2 & 3 switches, TCP/IP, SNMP, etc.)
Exposure and hands on experience with WMware Product suite, Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) with strong coding capability in building environments and deploying applications.
Knowledge and/or experience on designing, developing, deploying, and CI/CD in a DevOps environment
Experience with Docker containers and Kubernetes and other types of Microservices and Container technologies highly preferred
Well versed in internet architectures, including web, application, and database components
Ability to provision, monitor, optimize and scale CIT Private/Public Cloud infrastructure using API's
