Responsibilities

The Senior Business Architect is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships across all CIT business lines. The Senior Business Architect will work closely with business partner to develop and manage Business Capability Model to identify overlaps and gaps; develop roadmap to ensure the efficiency and consistency of the customer experience and business process. The Senior Business Architect will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to department heads, process owners and IS leads in identifying opportunities for technology solutions and supporting prioritization.

 

The Sr. Senior Business Architect possess an understanding of complex business needs and processes and acts as a liaison between the business and technical teams. They establish and improve business analysis processes and mentor business architects and business analysts. They are responsible for understanding and improving business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams for critical and complex projects.

 

Individuals in this position have a broad understanding of business processes, subject matter expertise and experience working with multiple technologies, and have demonstrated the ability to work with users at all levels in the banking, leasing and lending businesses.

 

Prior experience with Pega is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Duties & Responsibilities

    • Build and maintain strong relationship with the CIT business and act as a liaison between the business partner and IT teams.
    • Proven experience in developing and maintaining a Business Capability Model to rationalize solutions and develop roadmap
    • Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.
    • Work with a diverse business community to develop/create and document as-is and to-be business processes.
    • Collaborate with business units beyond the IT organization to establish sound business practices for a global team.
    • Working experience with one or more EA tool e.g. Alphabet, Troux, ArchiMate, ARIS etc.
    • Develop and document clear and testable requirements which describe a system to be implemented.
    • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.
    • Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.
    • Lead collaborative effort for business case development.

     

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.
    • Experience with process mapping is required.
    • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
    • Experience understanding, evaluating, and recommending changes to business processes are required.
    • Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive collaboration and business results.
    • Total IT experience between 8 to 15 years with 5 plus years in technology leadership roles and Enterprise Architecture
    • 10 years relevant professional experience in utilizing Enterprise Architecture frameworks to deliver organizational ‘best fit’ roadmaps and strategies
    • Experience working with different Enterprise Architecture frameworks e.g. TOGAF ADM, Zachman etc.
    • Good understanding of architectural aspects like Integration Architecture, Security Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture etc.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and working experience managing key stakeholder expectations including CxOs and regulators.
    • Experience working with business leaders is required.
    • Understanding of rules engine and business process management (BPM) applications and tools is preferred
    • Experience in Financial and banking industry is highly desirable.
    • TOGAF or other relevant certification is desirable
